This week Professor Ben Herbert talks to Dr Ross Walker from Miami, US, where he is attending the IFATS conference (International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics and Science).
Specifically Ben discusses the huge investment the US military are making in regenerative medicine. They are trying to improve the outcomes for soldiers wounded on duty in places such as Iraq and Afghanistan by using autologous fat cells to regenerate skin in burn injuries.
